'My life is but a weaving, between my God and me'...

Using the words of the wonderful lyrics written by Grant Colfax Tuller, Linda encourages women to develop and use the unique wisdom and insight that God has woven into their lives through their individual experiences – whether good or bad.  As the dark threads in a weaving make the pattern more distinct, so our lives are often shaped and our faith strengthened during our times of trial.

Sexual Abuse and the Effect on the Adult Who Survives It

This often 'taboo' subject begins with a brief introduction before showing the DVD 'Frozen Peas', which is a 27 minute presentation of Linda's walk from depression to healing. The DVD includes interviews with her therapist, Dr. Robin Royston, with whom she wrote the book 'Out of the Dark', and Lu Sunderland, the incredible Christian woman who had a prayer ministry of inner healing. After the video Linda outlines the 'stepping stones' that took her from the pit of suicidal depression, to freedom.

Time: Presentation: 60 minutes including DVD.
Question and answer: Up to 60 minutes, depending on the questions.

Abortion - a Child, or Tissue That Can Be Cut Away and Discarded?

When Linda was young she had two abortions. Later, even after becoming a Christian, she secretly felt it was the best decision for everyone involved because she had not been in a position to look after a child. While in her mid-thirties, two unrelated events gave her the revelation that she had taken the lives of two of her children. It was a deeply emotional time as well as a time of great growth, as she watched what should happen to a young woman in 'trouble'. This is a challenging topic for all those who are unsure about the answer to the topics question; is an abortion just cutting away tissue that can be discarded, or is it taking the life of a child? This talk will also give hope and choices to those considering an abortion, and those who care for them.

Time: 20 - 30 minutes (can be tailored to fit within this time frame).
