UniversitiesLinda will show the 27 minute documentary, 'Frozen Peas', which deals with the effect of sexual abuse as a child, on the adult who survived it. She will then hold a question and answer time. She has spoken in Child Development classes and Human Sexuality classes, and has given presentations at Counseling Centers. Women's Bible Studies and RetreatsLinda's passion is to encourage women to seek healing and wholeness in every area of their lives, freeing them to become the people God intended them to be, and enabling them to fulfill the purpose he has for their lives. Leaning on her own experience, she takes women through the steps that led her from debilitating depression to an emotional freedom she never knew existed. Then what do we do when we come through to our own place of healing? Linda believes the answer is in 2 Corinthians 1:4, where we are told that 'God comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from Him'. The pain we've felt from situations God has brought us through will be turned to compassion, insight and understanding as we are led by the Holy Spirit, to use our experiences to reach out and comfort and encourage others. Through real examples, some heartrending and some hilarious, Linda will give you insight into some of the choices to be made as you come alongside people – as well as some of the 'do's' and 'don'ts'.
