NewsSaturday, December 2, 2017The last couple of years have been extremely busy. I have not done much speaking but, instead, I’ve concentrated on my art and calligraphy, and working on my book being released in North America. I’m happy to announce that ‘Out of the Dark’ was re-released by Random House in 2016, in the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, and it was published and released in North America (the USA and Canada), by Heritage Builders Publishers, in December 2017, under the title ‘Touch the Moon and Say Goodnight’. People are often puzzled by the same book having different names, but each publisher can choose the name of the book they are going to publish. For instance, It was released in Germany, under the title 'Ich pfluck dir den Mond vom Grunde des Meeres' (Plucking the Moon from the Bottom of the Sea), and in Denmark the title was 'Het Spoor van de Maan' (The Track of the Man). Only Israel and Sweden kept the name ‘Out of the Dark’, in their respective languages. I continue to exhibit my art and calligraphy in the wonderful Fresno Art Hub gallery, in Fresno, California. The gallery is an inspirational place thanks to its owner, Diane Breuer, who is one of the best pastel artists I have the privilege to know. There are classes that will teach you basic drawing – pastel work - oil or acrylic painting - how to work with clay - how to do calligraphy. The title alludes to their different approaches to painting; Linda needs to know exactly what she wants on the canvas and how she’s going to attain it before she pick up a paintbrush, whereas Christy sits in front of a blank canvas with multiple tubes of paint at hand, and chooses and applies color randomly as she feels. This difference in approach, medium and subject creates a striking and interesting exhibit. October 2007Speaking in Barbara Crystl's Child Development class at Fresno State University, Fresno, California August 2007Linda continues her journey to South Africa, and then the Lower Zambezi Valley and Victoria Falls, in Zambia, to get footage of places from her youth for the documentary. July 2007During a meeting in London, Literary Agent Mark Lucas encourages Linda to write a second autobiography. Instead of focusing on her therapy, this book will take the reader through her very eventful and unusual life, and how it's led her to have a passion for helping those who are struggling with how hard life can be sometimes. July 2007Videographer, Jeff Hall, begins filming for the documentary about Linda's breakdown and healing. They fly to England to interview the people who were instrumental in encouraging her during her depression. As you will read in the documentary section, this video is being made specifically to encourage those who are struggling with mental, emotional, or any other difficulties, not to give up – it is also to encourage all of us to take action when we get that 'little voice inside' that prompts us to send someone a card, or call them.
